The meaning of business is very comprehensive.business can be defined as an organized economic avtivity which operated to provide goods and services to society for earning profit.it involves in regular dealing,production,distributiion of goods and services.the main purpose of any business is to earn profit as well as customer satisfaction.

According to C.F.Abbot,”business without profit is not business”.no private entrepreneur will start the business without a view of earning profit.

While defining  technically “business has been defined as an entreprise engaged in production and marketing of goods and services for a price”.

While defining functionally”business is a form of activity involving In production and purchase of goods and services with the object of selling them at profit ”.

In modern view,”business involve in regular dealings of goods and services and also earning profit and consumer satisfaction.
